Overhead Machine / Hoist Beams
Dura-Vator offers the design, fabrication, and supply of overhead steel structure assemblies for elevator applications. This includes all required structural components such as beams, channels, and steel plates, along with all associated hardware. Assemblies are provided ready for installation at wall pocket bearing plates and/or building structural attachment points.

Machine Beam
Our structural machine beams provide solid support, precise alignment, and even force distribution across the hoist machine. Engineered with vibration damping in mind, they help deliver smooth, quiet operation. Each beam is supplied with a corrosion-resistant coating, is designed for straightforward field installation, and meets applicable elevator safety standards.
Hoist Beam
Our steel hoist beams form the structural backbone of the overhead package. Each beam is sized to support the hoisting mechanism, distribute loads evenly, and meet applicable code. A full range of sizes is available to match your hoistway and equipment specifications.
Mono / Eco Beam
Our mono and eco beams deliver a stable attachment point for lifting motors, elevator cars, rails, and related components. Whether specified during initial installation or added for later repairs and retrofits, they provide a reinforced tie-in to the building structure.
Custom Steel Beams
Dura-Vator supplies custom structural steel beams in raw or galvanized finishes, fabricated from high-quality material and cut to the sizes your project requires.
Standard sizing:
- Wide Flange Beams: from 13 lbs/ft (4.16 × 4.06 × 0.345 × 0.28) up to 335 lbs/ft (44.02 × 15.95 × 1.77 × 1.02).
- Alum-I Beams: from 5.7 lbs/ft (3 × 2.33 × 0.26 × 0.17) up to 106 lbs/ft (24.5 × 7.87 × 1.09 × 0.62).
